Like the billions of stars in the universe that we know are there, but cannot see, such were the Flavor Seekers of this world less than a decade ago. They were there. Hiding among us … right next to us. They looked like moms, dads, college students, athletes, gamers. You name it. They wore the disguises. But they were different. Behind their masks of false flavor contentment, they quietly longed for bold new flavor experiences they thought were out of reach.

The Flavor Seekers envisioned a different snacking experience—one in which every bite of every snack would be memorable, fun, and loaded with creative flavor combinations previously thought impossible.

It was then that their leaders made contact with The Innovators—a daring group of chefs, scientists and expert tasters who had the power to make the Flavor Seekers’ dreams into snacking realities.

The Innovators knew that to fuel a flavor revolution, this new super snack would have to do more, be more. It would have to be loaded with flavor on the outside, as well on the inside. It would have to look irresistibly delicious to the eye and cast a tempting aroma if it would be powerful enough to draw others to the revolution.

Long hours in hidden kitchens under extreme security, provided by the Flavor Seekers themselves, resulted in many delicious attempts. But perfection would take time. It always does. Then one night, it happened. The final spice was introduced to a secret batter. The batter was whirled onto a prototype cylinder of snacking goodness filled with tender meats seasoned to mouth-popping proportions. The batter-coated temptation was quickly dipped into a sizzling natural oil at the precise moment a bolt of lightning struck through the skylight and fused the flavors into one incredible tube of tantalizing tastiness!

Suddenly, the object of the revolution was a reality, not just a dream. It needed a name that would convey the incredible flavor experience contained within, but also that would describe the power of the revolution itself. “You have created a whirlwind of flavor that will whip up a flavor revolution across America,” said the head Flavor Seeker to The Innovators. Then he continued, “In our hands, we hold the power … of TORNADOS!”

Soon thereafter Tornados touched down in convenience stores across America where they provided liberating flavor that drew millions to the revolution. Men, women, children, educators, construction workers, athletes and students alike rose up and demanded Tornados. Soon the snacking sensation was found at entertainment arenas, racetracks, movie theaters and bowling alleys. Even that was not enough to feed America’s newfound insatiable appetite for the flavor of Tornados. They wanted them at home, too.

The Innovators had a new challenge. How could they capture Tornados and put them in boxes so the awakened masses could heat them and enjoy them whenever they wanted right in their own homes? The answer, again, was in the secret batter. A slight twist to the recipe was all it took.

And so today the revolution continues. The Flavor Seekers, no longer shunned, are today revered as heroes. And The Innovators? They remain hard at work even now in their hidden kitchens dreaming up and cooking up new Tornados flavor creations to ensure that the revolution will never end. No, this flavor revolution is here to stay.
